‘Meet and Greet the Raptors” at Winter Bird Festival

MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA – On Saturday, January 19, 2008, the 12th Annual Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival will again be sponsoring “Meet and Greet the Raptors” with Pacific Wildlife Care. Using live birds, the wildlife rehabilitation volunteers from Pacific Wildlife Care will showcase the differences and similarities among falcons, owls, and kestrels, and will explain the importance of these majestic birds in the wild.

These special events were standing room only last year, so be sure to get there early. All the shows are appropriate and informative for all ages, and audience members are encouraged to bring cameras. Show times are at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Veteran’s Memorial Building at 209 Surf Street in Morro Bay. Tickets are priced “family-friendly” -- $2 for adults and $1 for children and students with ID
-- and will be available at the door.

“Meet and Greet the Raptors” is generously sponsored by The Beach Radio and The Bay News.
